The website is becoming increasingly important for communications with the many customers. The cookies are packaged in numerous varieties, different mixes and different tins. The website provides customers with complete logistics information: what do tins weigh, what is in them, how big a container do I need if I order 21,000 tins etc.Flexibility is strength
“Our flexibility is our strength as a supplier. Our ERP solution, which is based on Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision, makes us even more flexible. We can plan production with great precision, we largely avoid delays and thus increase our delivery reliability. All despatch of goods goes through Navision, so this helps us arrange shipping more efficiently. Moreover, Navision provides us with a good financial grasp and improved opportunities for following up on the budget. All in all, it means a lot to an order producing company like ours,” says Finance Manager Carsten Jacobsen.
Quality for money
The collaboration that Jacobsens Bakery Ltd. has enjoyed with Columbus for several years now has largely been based on personal relations.
“Something that we set great store by is having good personal chemistry and quality,” says Carsten Jacobsen. "We get both with Columbus. We have known the consultant from Columbus for 15 years. She is highly skilled, is familiar with everything that is important to us and she knows our production and systems. And with regard to Columbus in general, I have no hesitation in saying that we get full quality for money.”
