A/S is a 126-year-old global developer of quality lighting used by the world's best architects and designers. Headquarters are in Denmark with the U.S. subsidiary in Florida.

 

Teamwork makes a better solution
Columbus worked with the U.S. subsidiary, Louis Poulsen Lighting Inc., to update and consolidate their business, allowing for consistent reporting to the parent company.
Amir Bagherlee, VP Operations in the U.S., attributes the success of the implementation
to close teamwork between Louis Poulsen Lighting Inc. and Columbus IT Partner: "We told them what our needs were and Columbus showed us what the system could do," he says.

 

Glowing results in stock & orders
Louis Poulsen Lighting Inc. experienced substantial improvements in inventory management and productivity: the flexibility of the Axapta bill of materials (BOM) allowed them to rearrange and reduce their item numbers from 9,000 to 4,000 – and they were able to deliver a better product faster.


A streamlined order process lets Louis Poulsen Lighting track orders from time of entry to completion, so customers know where the order is at each point in the process. This real-time information means better customer service. According to Bagherlee, internal leadtime improved from three weeks to less than one.
