Differing needs for international subsidiaries
TTS Tooltechnic Systems in Moscow and South Africa are subsidiaries of the German group Festo Tooltechnic – a group of companies belonging to Schtolls. TTS Tooltechnic Systems is a supplier of professional hand tools for treating metallic surfaces and finishing work in the construction industry.
Both Russian and German accounting
“We're one of the largest suppliers of electric and pneumatic hand tools in Russia, with a big dealer chain in many regions.
Our business demands accounting for the Russian legislation, and reporting according to the HQ German standards,” says Yuriy A. Staroverov, General Director of Tooltechnic Systems. “The new system integrates with SAP, which is used by our headquarters.”
Complicated structure
“Over 11,000 products involve a complicated structure of storage and record-keeping with constant control of goods movement. Our system has to make multi-currency financial reporting in time, plus manage our sales, automate goods reservation, warehouse operations, fixed assets, financial budgets, and merchandise planning,” Yuriy explains.
Fast implementation
After just five months from making their decision for an Axapta solution from Columbus, the Russian company started operating with their new system.
“I am very satisfied with the results of our implementation – beyond all our expectations,” says Yuriy. “We doubted it was possible to accomplish in such a short period of time but
Columbus showed that approaching the task professionally and energetically succeeds. The system is indispensable for us: an integrated framework for all our transactions has greatly increased efficiency.”
Columbus in South Africa, too
Columbus IT Partner also implemented a Navision Financials solution for Tooltechnic's South Africa location, which illustrates how larger international companies can install more cost effective systems for their local subsidiaries and still benefit from similar functionality.
Robert Burkard, Managing Director of TTS Tooltechnic Systems in South Africa reports:
“The thorough review of business processes during the implementation of Navision Financials meant a much more streamlined administration benefiting from a focus on producing business rather than fighting fires.”
